Back in 2008 I registered the domain mypepo.com with the intention to create something unique to empower people around the world.  The idea is to create a simple but powerful tool for people to share and learn in a more productive way than a social network.

Some of the fundamental reasons why people blog:

Share with others, Write about your passion, Self expression, Put forward new ideas, Market a great product or service, etc.

Google+ seems to be the closest answer to Facebook, unfortunately I discovered today that with google+ I was not able to send a private message to a friend.  Maybe I didn’t do my work finding the way to send that private message?  How hard could it be to send a friend a private message?

No matter how big, popular and powerful a service is… Open source rules, simply because the agenda is people and not profit.
